Founded in 1982 Habil has been providing quality language services to companies, ministries and government offices for over 20 years. Our association with International House dates back to 1985. Why establish a school?
It was our commitment to teaching in Finland. Why International House? Their commitment to raising standards within the teaching industry worldwide.
Habil was the first school to run a TEFL teacher training course in Finland. This was arranged with the cooperation of International House who appointed the teacher trainer, the British Council, Finland, who loaned us the requisite academic books and the Finnish Language Teachers Union who supported us throughout the 4 week course.
In language training our main focus has always been English. It is the most common language used by professionals in the context of their careers and work.
In Finland we also do courses in Swedish, French, Spanish, Russian and Finnish. The International House Study Languages Abroad programmes offer Arabic, Chinese, Czech, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and Ukrainian.
Habil have our own translation and editing service and we network with established Finnish translation companies.
