Habil was the first school to run a TEFL teacher training course in Finland. This was arranged with the co-operation of International House who appointed the teacher trainer, the British Council, Finland, who supplied us with the requisite academic reading list and the Finnish Language Teachers Union ( then TEKERI) who supported us throughout the 4 week course.
Teaching a language as a foreign language or a second language is a profession. You need to be qualified and nowadays you can do the basic certificate course ( CELTA or equivalent ) in a location of your choice or even online.
